Cell Phone Usage:  Cell phone usage inside the JFKFFC is prohibited/banned.  Besides being inconsiderate and a nuisance to others it is a safety issue.  The Fitness Industry reports numerous injuries (distracted exercises inadvertentgly stepping off the treadmill, concussions from bumping one’s head on equipment, hurrying to snatch a falling phone, etc) associated with cell phone usage.  If you are expecting an emergecy call place your phone on vibrate and should you need to answer the call relocate yourself to the hallway outside the fitness center – bring your FOB so you may regain access.  JFKFFC MGT.

Furlough Update:  The potential shut down of the Federal Govt has been postponed for one more week.  In either case, the JFK Federal Bldg will be open – and so will the JFKFFC.  The only change in our schedule would be no 20/20 class on Friday.

Excuse of the Week: "I can’t exercise over the long haul!"
